Even if you aren't a business owner, it's important to have a personal brand established! This can help build your personal skills and boost your social confidence.
Focus on yourself first
Keep in mind that by branding yourself, you need to create your message first. What are your interests? Who's your audience? What are your strengths and weaknesses? By digging into these questions first, you can start to develop the kind of persona you want to sell.
Identify your Competition
This is an important step! Finding similar businesses, brands and other individuals with the same interests as you, is the best way to figure out what steps you need to take to set you apart. This is a crucial time to explore and experiment with your creativity! What are these other businesses doing? What you need to do to stand out and be different? Never stop being competitive and always learn from others, this will only push you forward.
Whatever you do, make it consistent
In order to have people take you seriously, you must establish brand consistency throughout your marketing. Keeping your logo, color palette, font selections consistent through all your marketing supplies, makes it easy for you to be recognized and remembered by your customers. Graphic design isn't the only part where this is important. Think about the first step! What is your message? Do you communicate it throughout every one of your social media platforms and marketing materials? Think about how you personally present yourself and use that as a branding tool as well.
