August is here and as these final sweet days of summer come to pass, it’s time to begin your plan of attack for the fall season. As the kids head back to school and everything around you shifts gears, we urge you to take advantage of the opportunities this season can offer you and your business. Here are a few ways to ease the transition and to ensure a successful September!
Keep Your Consumers in Mind
This is a busy time for just about everyone as September marks the end of summer and the beginning of the school year for students of all ages. It’s critical to keep in mind from a marketing standpoint what the priorities of your consumers are during this season. What can your business offer students and their parents to help them ease their way into the school year? It could be anything from incorporating surrounding schools into your marketing plan to offering a discount for college students. Making an appearance on a college campus is also a great way to recruit students seeking internships as well.
On the flip side if your consumer is a parent early September may not be the best time to invest money into a marketing campaign, as Mom and Dad have their hands full with back to school. At the end of the day, knowing and understanding your consumer will lead you to the right decision of if September is a good time to invest in promoting your business more.
Increase Your Visual Content
No matter what time of year it is, you should never neglect your activity on your social media platforms, and what better way to amp up your posts than to increase your visual content! Adding fall-themed photos and videos to your profile will draw in both existing and future clients especially if you provide original content. Lastly, since summer is typically characterized as a slow season, it’s time to build up momentum for your business by incorporating upcoming holidays. Make way for Labor Day on September 4th as well as the first official day of Fall on September 22nd. And hey, it may not exactly be an official holiday but September means it’s football season! Consumers are looking to prepare for these upcoming days and its up to you to convince them that your business can help!
