5 Tips to Reach Your Dreams

As a dreamer, but also a realist, I find myself giving advice to people who want to start or are currently trying to pursue their dreams. I think having a dream or goal to motivate you every day is something to cherish. It really comes down to YOU! (Nobody else) and what you're going to do with that motivation... Here are my five steps for moving closer to reaching your ultimate goal/achieving your dream!

1. Surround yourself with positive and empowering people

You want the relationships in your life to inspire, support and also challenge you in different ways. If you're spending time with negative people you may find yourself in a negative zone…which does not help for keeping yourself motivated!


2. Treat your dream like a project

First, lay down the ground work by setting goals, developing a timeline and defining your success. By developing a plan ahead of time you're more likely to keep moving forward with your dream.


3. Set small attainable goals

Don't overwhelm yourself by setting goals that are not realistic. You will only feel let down when you don't reach them. Instead, set small goals that can be accomplished on a daily or weekly basis. This will help you stay positive as you head towards your BIG goal!


4. Celebrate the little victories

I am a huge believer in celebrating the small victories. This will help you feel excited and have a great experience throughout the journey to your dream.


5. Enjoy the ride

The journey to your dream should be enjoyable experience. If you're not having fun or developing new skills along the way, how can you feel good about your dream once you've accomplished it?!
